What is Trimble DA2?

Trimble DA2 is a high-precision GNSS that allows for a wide range of topographic activities. Primarily, Trimble DA2 operates based on Trimble RTX, a technique that enables it to determine precise positions without the need to set up a GNSS base. Additionally, Trimble DA2 can receive differential corrections to determine positions using the RTK technique.

Trimble DA2 can be integrated with a variety of field software, including Trimble Access, which offers a series of advanced functionalities for surveying.

The power of Trimble RTX

Trimble RTX is a PPP-based GNSS positioning technique that allows for centimetric precision positions through real-time determination. Trimble DA2 receives a satellite correction with which it can determine high-precision positions, but in an instantaneous epoch (a completely expected effect of applying the PPP technique).

The use of Trimble Access in combination with Trimble DA2 addresses the epoch problem through a transformation that results in the calculation of positions directly in SIRGAS-Chile 2021, the official datum of Chile.

Use Trimble DA2 and Trimble Access with the Trimble TDC600 controller, which will provide you with all the capability to carry out long working days in the field, tremendously simplifying the logistics associated with establishing GNSS bases for high-precision topographic operations.

Trimble Access

After obtaining convergence for Trimble RTX-based positioning, use Trimble Access conventionally for a series of basic and advanced surveying functionalities. For example, a road project that refers to SIRGAS-Chile 2021 and is to be controlled with Trimble DA2 will only require importing a design for subsequent staking out or verification.

Trimble Access will allow you to develop topographic surveys, storing a large amount of topographic and non-topographic data. Subsequently, Trimble Access provides the power to establish advanced calculations from this data in order to make decisions in the field, minimizing revisits or simply achieving a high level of efficiency.
