3D Systems' software business unit has completed the migration to a new licensing system to address security issues and functional limitations of the old licensing system. Over the past few years, the entire software product family was transitioned to this new scheme starting from the respective release date detailed in the following table:
| Product | Release Date | Version |
| Geomagic for SOLIDWORKS | April 11, 2019 | 2019.0.0 |
| Design X | May 26, 2020 | 2020.0.0 |
| Wrap | July 2020 | 2021.0.0 |
| Control X | August 13, 2020 | 2020.1.0 |
| 3D Sprint | December 7, 2020 | 3.0 |
| Sculpt, Freeform, Freeform Plus | December 15, 2020 | 2021.0.56 |
3D Systems will suspend license support for software product versions that are older than the respective release dates and versions mentioned above, effective June 1, 2023.
As a result, end-users will not be able to transfer these older product versions from the PC currently running the software or activate the software on another PC after this date. End-users will still be able to continue using the product on the PC on which the software was activated after June 1, 2023; however, if the PC fails or cannot run the older version of the software, the end-user will lose access to the software. Therefore, 3D Systems recommends that, before June 1, 2023, end-users who intend to continue using the older version of the software (1) ensure that the PC on which they are currently running the software is reliable and will function for the period of time the end-user intends to continue running the older version of the software, or (2) contact 3D Systems for more information on how to upgrade to a newer version of the software.

Please contact our support team if you have any questions about this licensing system change.
