Carlson's new Boretrak 2 is a system for easily measuring the deviation of drilled boreholes in underground or open-pit mines. The Boretrak 2 incorporates a gyroscope, which is part of the inertial measurement unit (IMU), allowing it to measure at any inclination, whether horizontal or vertical.
Its movement through the borehole can be with a cable for down-holes or a rigid cable or rods for up-holes.
With the results, we can check the accuracy of the drillings and the deviation from the design. With the Carlson Scan software, we can obtain visualizations, which allow us to generate reports from the obtained data and export the information to different formats.
