ONLINE Course | Geospatial data processing in Trimble Business Center

The TBC geospatial data processing course will allow you to work with GNSS, total station, and digital level data in network adjustment and discrete data processing to produce topographic maps. In addition, you will be able to review the incorporation of laser scanner and photogrammetry data for the creation of final engineering deliverables.

The course includes a GEOCOM certificate and a 30-day temporary Trimble Business Center license.

The classes will be developed in 4-hour sessions with modules of approximately 1 hour reviewing the following topics:

Day 1 | Tuesday, August 11 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

1. GNSS baseline processing and 3D network adjustment
2. Calculation, editing and review of GNSS surveys (RTK, PPK)
3. Optical data processing (total station and digital level) and horizontal and vertical network adjustment
4. Calculation, editing and review of optical surveys

 

Day 2 | Wednesday, August 12 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

5. GNSS and topographic systems: local calibration
6. Scan registration
7. Introduction to drawing in TBC
8. Working with surfaces

 

Day 3 | Thursday, August 13 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

9. Working with Trimble SX10 data
10. Working with photogrammetry data
11. Corridor design
12. Using automatic drawing templates

 

 

 

 Instructors 

Ariel Silva | GEOCOM Support and Pre-sales Manager

Execution Engineer in Geomatics and Master in Geomatics, both degrees obtained at USACH. His specialty is observation adjustment with a focus on engineering applications, a field in which he has taught a variety of courses in different educational settings. In addition, he actively participates in geospatial consulting for different clients.

José Carrasco | GEOCOM Support Coordinator

Geomatic Engineer from the Metropolitan Technological University with 21 years of experience. Specialist in Geodesy and Topography applied to engineering and construction projects for mining infrastructure. He has served as Engineer at SHOA and Discipline Leader for the Vice Presidency of Projects at CODELCO mainly, today as a Specialist in GNSS & Optical solutions at GEOCOM. Postgraduate Diploma in Tunnels and Underground Spaces from the University of Chile. Professor at Santo Tomás University for the Civil Mining and Geology Engineering program.
