TBC Tip #45 | Creating Contour Lines from a Point Cloud

Contour lines are always a necessary deliverable in engineering projects and especially in topographic products. These curves represent points of equal elevation on a plane, which is essential when studying the terrain of the work area, providing elevation changes and visualization of the topography of the sector.

TBC has a simple and effective tool for their creation, in this case from a point cloud imported in .e57 format, although it can be any point cloud format accepted by the software, whether generated by a laser scanner, photogrammetric images, etc.
