Positioning, understood as location, has been a necessity that has increased more and more with the ease of human mobility. Today it is more evident with its massification, e.g., maps on smartphones, and the need for everything to be precisely positioned to take the next step towards automation.

This talk will discuss how geospatial technologies are key in this process and what are the current and future challenges for professionals in the field.

The talk will be given by our Technology Manager, Mr. Héctor Contreras, who was a pioneer in the introduction of GPS technology in our country. Since then, he has participated in its constant development and in the integration with other positioning technologies.
