Trimble Business Center (TBC) local site configuration provides the user with the ground scale factor for calculating and displaying ground distances. The user can recalculate a project in a few simple steps by entering a central or localized coordinate that represents a certain area of interest plus its elevation. Afterwards, it is possible to enter a scale factor or use the automatic calculation provided by TBC, which can be modified at different stages of the project if required. As a result, the compatibility of projected and ground distances can be exported to Trimble controllers using a (.dc) extension file, which will allow these office configurations to be taken to the field.
