Trimble Catalyst DA2 is compatible with iOS and Android via a Bluetooth link, making it an extremely versatile and lightweight device that can be used with minimal instruction.

The operation of Catalyst DA2 is directly supported by the Trimble Corrections Hub which transmits corrections either by satellite or by internet, achieving RTX positioning without the need for a GNSS base, or by receiving differential corrections over the internet from an established GNSS base to perform RTK positioning.

What are corrections?
Corrections, which are sent by the Trimble Corrections Hub, are applied to the raw GNSS data collected by DA2, making it possible to calculate precise and reliable positions. This is called Catalyst technology, which simplifies the way precise geodetic positioning is performed.

Can I work offline?
Yes. Before first use, an internet connection is required to install the software, then geodetic positions are determined via satellite RTX. In the case of Catalyst On Demand, it is necessary to start in a location with mobile internet coverage.
