LASER SCANNER MODE

TRIMBLE VISION TECHNOLOGY

The Trimble SX12 is equipped with a total of four cameras:
TELECÁMARA - coaxial, 1 pixel corresponds to 0.69mm@50m
OVERVIEW
MAIN
PLUMB

Each camera performs a different task:

The overview camera is arranged parallel to the EDM axis. It has a fixed focus of 54° overview. It is used at zoom levels (1-2), when the laser pointer is on or off.

The main camera is arranged parallel to the EDM axis. It has a fixed focus of 12° view. It is used at zoom levels (3-4), when the laser pointer is off and (3-6) when the laser pointer is on.

The telecamera, is arranged coaxially to the EDM axis. This is used for descending zoom levels. It is used when the zoom level is 5-8 with the laser pointer off. The telecamera is not used when the laser pointer is on, because the telecamera and the laser pointer share the same optical path, so only one can be used at a time.

Integrated video plumb is a solution that replaces the optical plumb. It has a fixed focus, with a 6° field of view. It is also possible to capture an image of the installation for record-keeping.

INDUSTRY-LEADING LASER POINTER

The Trimble SX12 incorporates a green laser pointer, which improves its visibility in the field and is also adaptable to different lighting conditions, surface types, and working ranges.

Three modes are available:
Low light mode: Indoors, low ambient light, highly reflective surfaces, and short distances.

Standard mode: Designed for use in normal lighting conditions.

Extended range flashing mode: Designed for use in bright light conditions, low reflectivity surfaces, and long distances.

The laser pointer automatically focuses based on distance to provide the industry's smallest laser spot size. At a distance of 50m, the laser pointer diameter is only 3 mm. At greater distances, the diameter increases at a rate of 3 mm every 50 meters.

This allows for safe (Class 1M Laser), reliable, and precise direct reflection work over long distances.
