It's Trimble controller software. The use of GNSS and total station is based on the same operating principles, plus the ease of use that the software provides in its operation, being intuitive and efficient in the field. Trimble Access is based on the well-known Trimble Survey Controller, primarily adding internet connectivity functionalities for sending/receiving data and specialized modules for roads, tunnels, monitoring, and many more.

Among the advanced functions of Trimble Access, it is possible to simultaneously control a real-time GNSS with a robotic total station in a procedure called Integrated Surveying. This allows the total station to be installed anywhere, taking as reference the positions obtained by RTK and working together with both instruments in a defined coordinate system. On the other hand, there is Trimble Sync Manager, which allows sending and receiving data in joint operation with Trimble Business Center. For special applications, Trimble Access is available for a wide variety of controllers, tablets, and measuring instruments like the Trimble SX12.
